Miss Amber

Amber Farland is the owner & director of Evolution Dance Company. Miss Amber's passion for dance began when she was 2 years old. She grew up dancing at The Dancer's Edge where she became a competitive dancer. She has extensive training in all styles of dance but excels most in acrobatics, jazz, ballet, contemporary & hip hop. Miss Amber is a certified preschool teacher, and currently has been working at Pace Head Start for the last 7 years. She has received her Associates Degree in Liberal Arts and plans to continue her education with dance & business courses. Because of dance Miss Amber has had the opportunity to perform at Hershey Park, T.D. Garden, Celtics, Royal Caribbean Cruise Line, & Disney's Magic Kingdom. Miss Amber has been able to travel all over the country for dance. Before opening her own studio she was the Artistic Director of Dance Clinic where she ran the competitive dance team & acrobats program for 6 years. Miss Amber's choreography has been nominated for awards as well as winning a few choreography awards last season. Miss Amber continues to expand her dance education by attending dance conventions, & dance educational teacher conferences. In addition to her training she is also Acrobatic Arts certified & continues to learn from this program throughout the season. Miss Amber really enjoys working with children and spending her days helping children grow everywhere she goes!

Favorite thing about teaching: Creating a safe place for children, a place where children can express themselves through dance & have fun. Watching my dancers grow in confidence, working hard, & seeing those big smiles when goals are accomplished is the absolute best!

Miss Amy

Miss Amy discovered from an early age that her body loves to express itself through the form of dance and visual arts. She began her studies at Backstage Dance Academy, led by her teacher Miss Amy Fernandes, it was her teacher who inspired her and her love for Ballet. Miss Amy has competed many years on a competition team and competed all over including Disney world (2x) and had the opportunity to dance on the beauty & the beast stage not once but twice, alongside taking multiple dance conventions as well. Miss Amy knew at a very young age she would want to teach dance, she wanted to share her love & passion with others, but not to just teach her students but to inspire them to be the best they can be wether it be in dance or any other aspect in life.

Miss sam

Miss Sam is our Office Manager here at Evolution Dance Company and she often helps teach our Primary children on Saturdays. During the day, Miss Sam is a Paraprofessional for New Bedford Public Schools with PreK students at Hayden McFadden Elementary School. Miss Sam is a student working towards her Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education at Merrimack College. She has her Bachelor's Degree from UMASS Amherst in Early Childhood Education. Although Miss Sam works in the background many times she is always willing to learn new things and help out wherever she is needed.
